Rev. Greg Gaffney has been the full time executive director of PowerSurge Worship Ministries since the fall of 2004. His role includes leadership in creating ministry vision, development and oversight of ministry strategies and operations, as well as the planning and coordination of ministry opportunities.

Greg previously served for ten years on the faculty of Moody Bible Institute, three years as Pastor of Worship and Administration at Des Plaines Bible Church in Illinois and nine years as Associate Pastor at Grace Bible Chapel in Chester, NJ.

He has been privileged to travel around the world working with missionaries and churches using athletics and music as platforms for evangelism. These experiences have helped create a passion in him which led to his joining with a group of men and women to first pray for direction and then to found PowerSurge Worship Ministries.

He is also a founding member of Living Worship, a coalition of worship leaders and pastors that recently has partnered with PowerSurge to aid in accomplishing the task of creating worship education materials for the church.

Rev. Gaffney has a degree in Music Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Advanced Studies Program certification from Moody Bible Institute and was ordained by the Des Plaines Bible Church in 1995. His past pastoral duties have been focused primarily on worship, youth, evangelism and missions.

His short term missions experiences has taken him to Mexico, the Bahamas, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Spain, Iceland, Brazil, Norway and now Germany as well as stateside. He has also been musician, worship leader, clinician or speaker for numerous ministry events throughout the country.

Greg and his wife Kathy and four children, Grant, Kaitlyn, Kristin, and Garrett recently moved to 23 Gilmar Road, Randolph, NJ into temporary housing provided by an area church to help in launching the ministry.
