SEASON’S GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF CHRIST JESUS!

“For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.” (I Timothy 2:5-6) CHRIST JESUS—THE ONLY WAY TO GOD!  Our commitment remains steadfast to keep spreading God’s message of freedom wherever God takes us, making disciples & teaching them to obey all Jesus commanded. God’s timing is a big part of this process. We thank God for the clear direction Jon received while in Papua, Indonesia. The door is open for us to obtain a visa under the national church, allowing us to do mission work under tax exemption status. Large communities of Transmigrant Indonesians (Muslim background) have been relocated into Papua. The message of freedom we carry can be brought to them in creative, practical ways, which we will be investigating and training for over the next 18 months here in Mindanao. It is not yet the right time for us to move there. One of the 8 moms in Sherri’s new Bible study said, “It’s good you will stay longer because now we can finish all 50 lessons together!” More ministry updates to follow in 2009.

“God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.” (Ephesians 1:9-10) CHRIST JESUS—THE FINAL AUTHORITY! Since Christ is the Head of His Church, He continues to build it according to His plans. HCFD (House Church Fellowship of Davao) remains committed to cooperating with Jesus as described in Matthew 28:18-20. Six home fellowships have resulted with a vision and structure in place to keep reproducing more. Thanks for praying & giving! Jesus is returning soon!

This Christmas season let’s reflect on Paul’s words in II Corinthians 6:1-2,“As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.” CHRIST JESUS—OUR SALVATION! God’s Word is clear that in the end every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. The question is not “if” we will bow the knee to Jesus, but “when”! Will we bow willingly, right now, and be saved to eternal life; or will we be forced to bow, in the end, and be eternally separated from God? Let us consider CHRIST JESUS, our response to Him, & how we would help others respond!
